History
Kingdom On The Green was birthed out of the heart of ICA in 2008. With their passion and desire to serve God in an outreach capacity, they felt the need to help their surrounding community. With ICA being in Hollis, Queens, at the time, there were many parks in the neighboring area that were open fields of ministry waiting to be used. After driving by a particular park on Jamaica Avenue, members of ICA had the idea to produce an outdoor ministry event at Rufus King Park. After presenting it to the church board, ICA backed up these individuals and their efforts to have this event at the park. Alongside the PYPA organization they were able to arrange the event and reach many unbelievers.
Vision
Our vision is to embody the actions of Jesus and follow his command to spread the good news within the communities where we reside.
Mission
Our aim is to unite individuals, organizations and business in a collective effort to uphold Christian principles and serve others. It’s essential to recognize that no individual can achieve this goal alone. However, when we work together, we can make a significant impact and advance God’s Kingdom by extending our reach to the local communities around us.
Theme
Matthew 25:35-40 (New Kings James Version) 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
